JOB TITLE        Senior Software Engineer                                         JOB TYPE:        Full – Time

We are seeking a Full Stack Developer to join our startup team in building and maintaining open-source ERP solutions using ERP Next. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python development and experience working with full stack web technologies.

The required candidate will be responsible for designing, configuring, build, developing, testing and maintaining our ERP systems and Python web applications. 

You will work closely with the rest of the development team to ensure that our products are reliable, scalable, and user-friendly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gathering technical requirements for internal and external customers.
• Design and develop high-quality software solutions using Python and related technologies
• Participation and use of Agile development methodologies
• Collaborate with the rest of the development team to design and implement new features and improvements to our ERP systems and web applications
• Test and debug code to ensure that it is reliable and performs well
• Collaborate with the product management team to understand and prioritize customer needs
• Drive continuous improvement in development and operations best practices
• Ability to convey complex information in both written and oral form to technical and non-technical audiences
• Contribute to the development of technical documentation for software development, testing and user guides

REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, AND SKILLS:

Core Qualifications

• Able to understand the complex business process and manage the project.
• Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and understanding how to utilize them in a customer-facing environment
• Ability to follow standard engineering principles and practices
• Working knowledge of object-oriented design and development skills.
• 4 - 5 years of Experience is mandatory.

Technical Qualifications:

• Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies 
• OOP concepts and Backend Development Experience
• Strong background in Python development
• Experience with full stack web development, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related frameworks
• Familiarity with databases and SQL (MySQL on MariaDB or equivalent)
• Hands-on experience with hosting web application on Apache or NGINX
• Experience in UI/UX development for Web Applications is essential (React, Angular, Vue.js…)
• Experience with version control like git is a must
• BS in computer science or technology equivalent preferred
• Bonus: Experience with AWS, Ubuntu or Debian, CI/CD, Docker
•  Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Frappe, ERP systems (particularly ERP Next), JS, MySQL, Python & Frappe based web development is a plus. 
• Experience with web application development frameworks such as Django or Flask
• Commercial eCommerce portal development and maintenance is preferred. 
• Hands-on experience in developing ERP applications from the ground up is a plus.

  Education 

• A bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science.
