The Senior Accountant is responsible for retaining a detailed view of the company receivables and accruals and by obtaining all necessary information from inside and outside the company that allows clear understanding of the accounts receivable.
Assist in providing senior management with accurate reporting of the company’s financial position at any given time. Prepare and record asset, liability, and revenue and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
Design, control and operate both a manual and a computerized system for accounting functions, including budget/general ledger control, contracts/accounts payable, revenue/utilities billing, payroll and fixed assets etc.
Prepare a variety of financial statements, reports and analyses as assigned.
Analyze, reconcile, balance and maintain accounting records and cash control procedures; develop budgets and special financial reports.
Monitor revenue and expenses; ensure expenditure control and compliance with company policies and procedures, and with standard accounting procedures.
Handle the preparation of regularly scheduled and special billings, payroll, bank reconciliation, costs reports and analysis.
Manage bank accounts; ensure cheque collection; prepare fund balance projections and reviews.
Review and approve expenditure, personnel and purchasing documents for availability of funding, mathematical correctness, and compliance with company policies.
Interact with and provide information to each management and sales executive in relation to his/her accounts.
Assist in audits and prepare audit work papers.
Maintain company cash by balancing the cash drawer through counting cash at the beginning and end of each work shift.
Carefully monitor bank transactions to ensure that any company liabilities are covered.
