Test Planning and Strategy:
- Understand software requirements and design comprehensive test plans and strategies.
- Define test objectives, scope, and timelines, considering different testing types, such as
functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
- Identify and prioritize test cases based on risk analysis, business impact, and customer
needs.
o Test Execution and Defect Management:
- Execute test cases and test scripts to validate software functionality, usability, and
performance, ensuring adherence to test plans and predefined acceptance criteria.
- Identify, document, and track software defects and issues through defect tracking systems,
ensuring proper communication and resolution.
- Conduct root cause analysis and collaborate with development teams to address and
resolve identified defects.
o Test Automation:
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using appropriate tools and
technologies (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit, or TestNG).
- Implement and execute automated regression tests to ensure the stability and reliability of
software releases.
- Continuously improve and expand test automation coverage to increase efficiency and
effectiveness of testing processes.
o Test Documentation and Reporting:
- Document test plans, test cases, and test results, providing clear and concise reports on
software quality and test coverage.
- Provide timely and accurate status updates on testing activities and escalate critical issues
or risks
