The Health, Safety & Environment Officer will work to implement policies related to occupational safety and environmental health and secure the work environment from risks. He/She will also safeguard against injuries caused by the risks of the work environment, protect the facility from accidents, and ensure the application of occupational safety and health laws and procedures daily.
Primary responsibilities:
- Examination of all operations and activities in the office and shops and taking preventive precautions against potential risks
- Conduct HSE training and awareness sessions for all the personnel of the organization at all levels
- Make regular reports of non-conformity and taking corrective and preventive measures for them
- Ensure that the offices comply with the governmental requirements to ensure that no violations or fines are imposed in respect of occupational safety and health
- Preparing permits for approval from various governmental departments and efficiently managing the process
- Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines
- Keep up to date and ensures compliance with current health and safety legislation
- Work closely to manage the opening of warehouses in compliance with local governmental institutions
- Determine the business control requirements and prepare the warehouse opening paperwork
- Monitor the approval process closely with the governmental institutions and be the first point of contact for any concerns relating to paperwork and compliance issues
- Research and coordinate with legal entities to ensure compliance at all levels
- Ensure all permits are prepared and submitted in a timely manner to avoid fines or other actions being taken against the company
