The Role:
The successful candidate will be part of an application development team. This position will be responsible for the planning, design, development and implementation of a central database for regional real estate operations. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of databases and data analysis procedures to access, organise, and process data from a range of available sources. In this role you will be responsible for working with stakeholders to analyse business requirements, author documentation in-line with XX database systems requirements and participate in planning/designing, development of the optimal solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing a database schema that is extensible, robust, and can be externally linked to multiple systems and/or web interfaces to extract data
- Translating high-level business requirements on multiple, complex applications into detailed functional specifications, i.e., User Stories and Acceptance Criteria
- Maintain product roadmap; collaborate with stakeholders to drive product vision, strategy, design, innovation, and overall product direction
- Design, build, and improve data integration pipelines by performing pre-processing, cleaning, verifying, and loading activities
- Perform feasibility analysis, prioritise deliverables, recommend alternative solutions and project strategies
- Based on the feedback from various stakeholders, create a comprehensive database with capabilities to extract data from multiple internal and external sources
- Assessment of data sources for integration, extracting data from external sources, and discerning monetizable value in business requirements from those data sources.
- Leverage the database which will be created and produce user friendly outputs in the form of interactive PowerBI dashboards or recommend other relevant platforms
- Perform necessary periodic reviews pertaining to security of data at hand
- Ability to summarize and present complex issues to a variety of audiences: technical, non-technical and executive personnel
- Liaise with our Data Insights team in the UK and ensure compliance with regional initiatives and platforms
Experience and Skills
- Strong understanding of methodologies for data modelling and data warehousing from structured or unstructured sources
- Advance working familiarity with PostgreSQL, and/or Microsoft SQL Server and ETL tools
- Strong knowledge of the Microsoft365 ecosystem such as SharePoint, Excel
- Ability to handle complex system interfaces/APIs and integrations between distinct data sources
- Knowledge of OpenAPI specifications
- Relevant work experience with business requirements definition and management (end to end), structured analysis, process design, use case documentation, UML process and use case definition
- Self-starter with proven ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects with minimal supervision; can manage a complex ever changing priority list and resolve conflicts to competing priorities
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written; capable of collaborating effectively across a variety of IT and Business groups, across regions, roles and able to interact effectively with all levels
- Strong understanding of Real Estate Markets (significant bonus)
- Functional knowledge of Power Platform (BI, Automate, Dataverse)
